probably too lazy to move around much so didn't check out the other stage. but on mainstage the 2nd act Rokia Traore from Ali Farka Toure's homeland was mesmerizing.

Bought bus ticket jus now. Friday night parteeeeee at Womad. Saturday morning bus-up to KL and parteeeeee at Unclogged. Sunday night go Bangsar and parteeeeeeeeeee some more. WAHAAHA

While there's a Womad party at Fort Canning this weekend, it's Malaysia's National Day on Saturday. There's also the Unclogged gig at No Black Tie organised by Joe Kidd. It's a series of alternative rock acoustic gigs, showcasing the cutting edge in Malaysian rock. Very likely I will venture up north for the weekend. Hang out and holler "merdeka!" a bit while Hell Sister (described as a "right in yer face grrrl-punk rock" band) do their thing.

Chong is finally going to have his wedding dinner do in his Penang hometown come November.

just read DK2. its asking for another reading. cos i was too excited, i think i went through it too fast. some of the art really calls for longer moments to take in. i didn't dig what frank miller was doing on Sin City. DK2 has that extra bit of heart and thats enuff.
