The song that stuck out when I first saw ZGPS at BarNone last October was Media Whore. The sing-along chorus repeating "media whore/ media works/ media corp.... do your chore etc" was a real hooker. This was last saturday at their album launch in Zouk.
Jason Tan together with the band produced ZGPS' debut Follywood. Years ago Jason used to put out his own brand of industrial dance rock. In Follywood's heady mix there are strong elements that recalls Jason's love for old school 70s & 80s keyboard sounds. In 1999 Jason and I worked on Eating Air and produced 3 pieces titled 1st Ride, 2nd Ride and 3rd Ride. The music of Eating Air will always be special to me.
