I said it many times but I will say it again... I so love Durian King. We had our little wrapup party a while back during the telecast of the final episode.
Blame the music on us... left to right: Yap sang the theme song. Paul backup on vox. Alex arranged it and I simply had a good time laughing my head off writing the song.

Eugene from Morphy did this little remix that had us in stitches.

SIX WEEKS, a six parter series premiere this Sunday 21st Nov at 10pm. Stars Adrian Pang as an average Wong confronting his mortality when diagnosed with terminal cancer. Alex and I worked on the music. Do watch out for it.
On SIX WEEKS' location- that's sound recordist James Choong.

What do you do when you have to deal with short lead time (no time actually)? (1)You score music to script and have constant dialogue with the director and creative staff. (2)Go to location as often as possible to feel the mood, actor's movement etc. (3)Then when the edits come in, you hope the vibe is alright and you don't have to start from scratch. (4)Then you pray with some finetuning, the music and sound-design will all sit in nicely. As frustrating as it may sound THE MAID is giving me invaluable experience.
THE MAID recording sessions- Nat on violin while Alex spacebar with watchful eyes.

Tim smsed me John Peel's passing. I fwded it to Force Vomit's Eddino, Astreal's Ginette and other friends who grew up listening to Peel. NME ran a glowing tribute to him. I bought 3 copies- one for Joe Kidd, one for Daryl and the last one I will frame up. The cover "John Peel, 1939-2004. Hero. Legend. Good Bloke" says it all.
Wished I taped him playing Teenage Story on his show. Could only manage to catch this. Thanx for the music John. RIP.
