Im disappointed. I woke up fine today. I didn't make 3 hangover days in a row. Guerilla at Phuture was dope. The final hours was intense.

18Dec04 was my first Poptart. Got there at midnite. No one was on the floor. Then Radzi (bless his good soul) started dancing. More and more people join in. Most sweated, had a great workout and went home blissout.

This is a damn fine number by Ecrus Garage- from last Friday at Esplanade.

Shooting in the jungles these last weeks must ranked as one of the most gruelling film work Ive ever gone through. Bashing through thick humdity and undergrowth, there were (1)bee attack (2)a couple of leeches (3)one cobra (4)loads of cuts, bruises, sunburn, etc. The good thing though was... I didn't miss any Poptarts and Subversives! Tonight we had our farewell dinner for the Japanese cast. Goodbye Oni, Hase, Okawa, Fumie and Chihiro.

Im always pleased to see old faces reinventing themselves. Aaron used to front the Stroll. I caught his new band Dreams Of Day Architecture at a Barnone session a few months ago and the band stings. Was glad I brought my MD and mic along when I caught them at POW last night and got this down. Tomorrow its Tim's band, Highrise at Esplanade. Nigel and Fuzz's If comes on at 8ish.

Subversive, then Poptart. Meeting new people. Re-acquainting with old. Reconciliation and forgiveness. Loving and being loved. Feeling like a kid again. My old handphone has been stuttering but I found back my dancing shoes.

Tim's Highrise will be playing Esplanade this Sunday. He's a good man in a good band.

A year ago I helped Calvin and Don record Gentlest Of Breezes and Fear Strikes Mankind- dubbed the $26 demo. Late last year Don return from Melbourne and Nuance swung into action with Hui (guitar), Kelvin (bass) and Calvin (drums) writing new material, rehearsing and jamming very hard. In those 3 months from zero, they buildup a repertoire of over a dozen songs. Throw in covers, they could easily knock in 2 more encores. The last month before Don left, Nuance score 3 shows at POW. This was from their debut gig on 11th Feb. It was their first time. So be gentle please.
