Radzi told me all the draft and bottled beer were wiped out that nite.

Thanx loads to those who went to Hideout on Wednesday night. We had a great time and hope you did too. On a sidenote, I'd like to know which songs you dug? We'll be playing another show in mid-October. So come come! More details later.

What we did on Wednesday:
1. So Happy (Oddfellows)
2. I Know (Naomi and the Boys)
3. Wallflower (Astreal)
4. Void (Humpback Oak)
5. Release (Daze)
6. Girl Frm Katong (Serenaide)
7. Singapore Cowboy (Mathew and the Mandarins)
8. Goodil (Stoned Revivals)
9. Lost My Head (Oddfellows)

I hope LBB will get to cover this. Its the first track off their excellent 1992 Hideaway EP.

Its a hum pao smasher! Be With Me soundtrack is available in the shops now. Love it to bits!

Last sat nite. Poptart at Phuture- What a great looking couple.

Two Barnone Monday Sessions ago was one of the few times I manage to catch Camra. There is newfound confidence with them teasing the audience, letting loose and prancing around. This was from Sept '98 at the beloved Moods club. According to singer Marvin, they be recording the song properly for their upcoming release.

Note: I think you should have noticed by now that the live recordings prior to 2000 sux as compared to later ones. Anything before was taped off a cassette recorder walkman with poor mics. I did it for my own listening pleasure then and never thought I'll be posting it up to share with other local music fans. Hence I didn't bother about quality of the recordings at all. The ones made last few years were recorded on Sharp Minidisc with the excellent Sony ECM CS10 clip mic (Very affordable at about S$70something from Sim Lim Square). This mic is great because you can be very discreet. Tape it on yer bag and let the MD roll. Make sure the input levels have enough headroom so it wont peak and distort.

Twilight Action Girl vs Poptart on Merdeka Day eve at The Loft, KL. Thats Daryl trying his hand on the rodeo machine.

Yes, this is an unremarkable straightahead almost note for note copy of Sonic Youth covering the Carpenters' classic but... when June Koh's voice hits you, don't you just want to melt and die. Taken off Sugarflies' 1993/4 (can't recall the year) self-released ep "Something Happen... Somethings Don't..."
